Representative Elias Bou Saab confirmed the demand for a radical solution to the trial file, calling on the government and the Minister of Justice to address the issue of arresting people without cause. He pointed out that the observations of the Ministry of Defense, Interior and the Army were taken into account, considering that the judiciary is responsible for the delay in many cases. He added that the issue of amnesty constituted a point of contention, pointing out that those who criticized his decision in the last session to adjourn the session thanked him today. Regarding the death sentence, 28 years of imprisonment were approved, which is equivalent to approximately 21.5 actual years. He also pointed out that the law preserved the right of the families of army martyrs not to forfeit their personal rights, with the possibility of filing lawsuits before civil courts, noting that the army was not a party to the disputes.
